Improved Decision Making

Making decisions is one of the most important jobs of any leader. It’s also the toughest and the riskiest. The decisions made by senior leaders can have far-reaching effect on their organisations, employees and other stakeholders, as well as themselves. Bad decisions can damage a business and a career, sometimes irreparably. Research has shown that managers in most organisations regard the quality of their organisations’ strategic decision making as seriously flawed. Many traditional decision making models are predicated on humans being rational decision makers and strategic planning is heavily reliant on analysis, attempting to predict the future based on historical data. Both flawed assumptions. In this 1-day workshop we will look at what research tells us about how we make decisions. We will look at where bad decisions come from, how to avoid them and how can you improve your own and your team’s decision making.

Some people respond to this pressure by working longer hours to get things done, but that approach reaches some natural limitations eventually. In this one-day intensive you will learn how to take pro-active control of your valuable time, prioritise your efforts for higher productivity.
