Legionella Management E-learning

The interactive video based training course is aimed at all employers and staff to assist them in identifying the danger that legionella poses, as well as covering ways to identify and assess sources of risk from legionella in the premises also implement and manage a control programme. E-learning can complement face to face training. For example, a traded business may opt for a face-to-face legionella training session initially and then refresh those skills in year two by using an E-learning training course. This course explains the background to legionella, the potential risks associated with water systems and how these can be prevented or controlled. It helps you to understand the risk that legionella poses and helps you develop the systems and working practices you need to stay ahead. It gives you enough knowledge to get a legionella control programme off the ground yourself – or make confident, informed choices when commissioning others to take this on for you. This course has 6 modules in total and each module concludes with some relevant questions. The pass rate for these questions is 70% and the 6 modules covered are: What is legionella?, Risk areas, Legislation, Risk management, Water system monitoring, Cooling system awareness Duration: 75 minutes. Evacuation Chair

Our evacuation chair training course is aimed at any members of staff that may need to use this piece of equipment to assist with the evacuation or someone with impaired mobility in the event of a fire. Fire safety legislation requires that there is provision in place for the full and final evacuation of a building, this includes those with physical disabilities preventing them from using the stairs. Using the customer’s own evacuation chair we are familiar with most makes and able to teach staff members how to use the chair, including transferring on and off of it. Includes the following: Introduction to evacuation chair training, The legislation that identifies the need for an evacuation chair, Circumstances when the use of an evacuation chair is appropriate, People handling techniques during chair use, Safe use of an evacuation chair, Consideration of the chair user once evacuated, Practical exercises involving a number of simple people handling techniques relevant to emergency evacuation chair use Owing to the practical nature of this course a basic level of general fitness is required. Nuclear Safety Culture Workshop

This workshop is “for all Contractor Lead Teams” working on the HPC project. Vehicle Banksman

This course is designed to train qualified vehicle banksmen to stop traffic on the public highway for short periods of time to facilitate site deliveries. As this procedure cannot be used on all road types the course opens by covering the legal requirements for stopping traffic on the public highway using this method, how to determine if the road is suitable/legal for the operation, the types of signage that must be used and if advance warning signs are required. This course is for the professional user or anyone who requires the National Proficiency Test Council (NPTC) Certificate in the Safe Use of Pesticides and is a pre-requisite of progressing to the other FEPA modules.
